MISSION STATEMENT
Drogheda Community Services is a registered charity and is committed to excellence in it's working practices. It was founded in 1970 by seven local people, led by Fr. James Crowley (cc St Peter's Church) Our overall objective is to preserve and improve the quality of life in the town by identifying social problems and needs and attempting to tackle them. We achieve this goal by adhering to a two fold principle – the client first - respect for the individual.
Drogheda Community Services operates a philosophy of care through the provision of a Day Care Centre, Information and Support Services for Older People, Bereavement Counselling Service, Mediation Service , Addiction Counselling , Legal Aid and Advice and community based educational programmes. The services provide physical, social and spiritual support with a mix of skills delivered through a multi-professional collaborative team approach.
Drogheda Community Services ensures principles of good practice with a robust selection process, ongoing training, support and supervision of all staff. We are committed to delivering a quality service in an accessible and appropriate manner by working towards quality in all its dimensions.
Drogheda Community Services Centre adheres to and operates under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in relation to any personal data taken/gathered/stored concerning the client/applicant. All information will be used in the best interests of the client/applicant and will be securely stored both in physical and digital format. In signing these Terms & Conditions the client/applicant is consenting to the Drogheda Community Services using the relevant data provided. Such consent concerning either the gathering or retention of the data may be withdrawn at any time. Drogheda Community Services Centre may pass on data to third party services in relation to the service activities provided in the Centre to prevent you from having to answer the enclosed questions again.
